|Business & Entrepreneurial Initiatives Collaborative|
Colleges must prepare students to enter an environment where employers increasingly expect their employees to think entrepreneurially. Plus, there is an untapped population of people with compelling business ideas who lack formal business training.
With this in mind, the Pennsylvania Business and Entrepreneurial Initiatives Collaborative set out to develop a robust online learning program that delivers on the promise of a federal grant: for users to gain (or expand upon) their business and entrepreneurship skill-set. Developed by experienced instructional technology experts and business and entrepreneurial educators from Montgomery County Community College, the program enables participants to generate actual business plans that can be presented to college or universities in order to obtain Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) credit. The program also explores an in depth case study on starting a business in the energy industry.
This course is designed to be flexible – encouraging aspiring entrepreneurs to tackle studies in an online format, on their own time, at no cost—to enable them to reach their business and career goals.
